ECOTECH OPENS BRANCH OFFICE IN CHENNAI

June 16, 2019

Our Engineer Dinesh Gogula will relocate to Chennai to head our Branch office there. Ecotech already has on hand two  prestigious projects to rectify and take over Operation and Maintenance of large-sized STPs in South Chennai. Chennai  is suffering from an acute shortage of water in these areas and Ecotech will extend its support to the Citizens and Corporates in that City to treat, Recycle and Reuse STP treated water. Our experience and expertise will ensure water security for these citizens by meeting upto 50-60% of their daily water requirement through recycling. In the case of Corporates with a requirement for HVAC use (cooling tower makeup water), the recycle percentage goes as high as 90-100%.

Dr. Ananth and the entire Ecotech team wishes Dinesh all the best in his new role in Chennai to establish Ecotech as the best in the business. Dinesh has an M.Tech (Env. Engg.) degree from the prestigious NITK Surathkal. He worked for a short time as an Asst. Professor of Env. Engg. in a Degree College in Bangalore before joining Ecotech.

MEPA CONFERENCE

June 9, 2019

Ecotech was invited by the MEP Engineers Association (MEPA) headquartered in Pune, and having presence across the world in many countries to give a 90-minute long presentation on STP Technologies.

The one day conference held at the Hyatt Regency in Pune on Saturday, 8 June 2019 was attended by over 200 delegates from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, and other states. Attendees included Builders, Architects, Consultants, STP Contractors, MEP Engineers, MEP trainees, etc.

The presentation by Dr. Ananth S Kodavasal was well received and much appreciated for its incisive insight into the various mainstream STP technologies including EAAS, MBBR, SBR and MBR.  The pitfalls, lacunae, deficiencies and defects of MBBR, SBR, and MBR as practised in India today were clearly enunciated with scientific and technical justifications, supported by empirical observations and experience and  comprehensively documented in several case studies of these dysfunctional STPs.

Dr. Ananth also highlighted case studies where Ecotech performed successful surgeries on these dysfunctional SBR, MBBR, and MBR STPs, resuscitated them by converting and upgrading to EAAS technology. These STPs are now being operated and maintained by Ecotech delivering quality treated water, recycle and reuse, 24/7, day after day and many for several years now.

MEMBRANE BIO-REACTOR (MBR) STP TECHNOLOGY PRESENTATION

March 26, 2019

Folks, it is time again for our monthly guest lecture presentation. Rajesh Shenoy will share his knowledge, expertise and thoughts on this very important STP technology. Manufacturers and suppliers of these membranes may disagree, but I believe this is the technology of the future when both Capital and Operation costs can be brought to within reach of the common man living in Apartment complexes.

But a look at the current water scenario in Bangalore and other major cities in India, and indeed in the rest of the world, makes me believe that future is not very far off. And we had better get used to the idea that sewage is going to be the one guaranteed source of drinking water for a vast majority of Indians.

Mark the date and time: Saturday, April 13, 2019 between 1000 Hrs and 1200 Hrs. The venue as usual is the Ecotech Training hall in Whitefield. Pls. do attend for a glimpse into the wonderful world of what Singapore calls "NEWater" and has been practising successfully for years.

ECOTECH WELCOMES A NEW MEMBER TO ITS EVER GROWING FAMILY

March 12, 2019

Jilu Varghese has a B Tech Degree in Civil Engg. from Kerala University and an M.Tech in Energy & Environmental Engg. from the prestigious Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) from where she graduated in the year 2018. Jilu did a one month internship at Ecotech in the month of November 2018 and therefore is not exactly new to Ecotech. Her decision to join Ecotech as a full time employee was for the most part prompted by her poor experience as intern in other companies. In her own words, what she liked best about Ecotech is the readiness with which every team member shared and imparted knowledge, team spirit, the informal work environment, work ethic and above all the single minded focus on Excellence and Integrity.

Jilu hails from Kollam (Quilon of the Portuguese/ Dutch/British era) in Kerala and is fluent in Malayalam, English, Tamil and Hindi. At Ecotech we are pleased to welcome a young, and passionate Environmental Engineer who will serve our nation by enhancing our water security.
