DR. ANANTH S KODAVASAL

Dr. Ananth received his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, and his PhD from Vanderbilt University, USA. At Vanderbilt, he worked under the tutelage of the legendary WW Eckenfelder Jr., the "Godfather" of industrial wastewater treatment. Subsequently, he worked at Hindustan Dorr Oliver and Voltas International Ltd. in Bombay as an environmental engineer, before founding Ecotech in 1986. He is a sought-after speaker on wastewater treatment, and is the author of the "STP Guide" handbook published by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. Dr. Ananth is an avid reader and his favourite authors include Bill Bryson and Louis L'Amour.

DR. JANARDHAN KODAVASAL

Dr. Janardhan Kodavasal holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NITK Surathkal. He spearheads our marketing and strategic efforts. He is a strong technical leader with a solid background in Decentralized Wastewater Treatment. Work experience includes Cummins Inc., Columbus, Indiana, USA, as a Group Leader for Engine Systems in Corporate Research, Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago (US Dept. of Energy), Bosch Gasoline Systems USA, and Lawrence Livermore National Lab (California). Over 25 international conference/journal publications with >600 citations. Outside of work, Dr. Kodavasal is a certified Yoga instructor and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

RANGANATH S

Ranganath has an M.Sc. Degree in Environmental Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering. Ranganath is the multi-tasking human dynamo of Team Ecotech. He has more than two decades of hands-on experience in this field and has executed several prestigious wastewater projects both in India and in Bangladesh. In his spare time (if he has any) he prefers to spend quality time with his small family.

DEEPAK H

Sales Leader (South)

As Sales Leader (South), Deepak's focus is on reaching out to new customers across South India towards our mission of expanding Recycle and Reuse of water across industries and geographies.

Deepak is a water industry veteran with 13 years’ of experience across companies like NALCO Water, Pentair, and Haber. During his tenure at NALCO, he was inducted into their highly-selective one-year-long Water School in Pune. He has held leadership responsibilities across functions such as Business Development, Technical Marketing, Key Account Management, and water treatment equipment Sales and O&M. Deepak has worked with several prestigious customers spanning segments such as F&B, Pharma, Automotive, Institutional, Power, Sugar, Distillery, and Breweries. As a deep technical expert, what keeps Deepak going is the satisfaction of providing enduring solutions to customers to address their KPIs and maximize ROI. He is also a staunch advocate of continuous improvement across existing accounts and shares Ecotech’s vision of adding value to customers by saving water and energy while ensuring 24x7 performance of assets.

PRAVEENSINGH RAJAPUT

Praveensingh has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, and a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). He specialises in Design & Engineering of Wastewater Treatment Plants and Technical audit of treatment plants in need of rectification and/or upgradation. Praveen is leading our expansion into the Pune market. Hobbies include playing cricket, badminton, and travelling.

DINESH G

Technical Solutions Manager (South)

Dinesh hails from the town of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, now famous as the home of KIA motors. He has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Karnataka and an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surathkal (NITK). Before moving to Chennai in September 2019 to head the Company’s operations in that city, Dinesh was overseeing operation & maintenance of several wastewater treatment plants under the Company’s AMC in Bengaluru, auditing dysfunctional STPs and recommending suitable rectification and upgradation measures. Dinesh is an enthusiastic Trekker. Motorcycle riding is his biggest passion and he is an avid amateur photographer.

RAMANANDA SG

Based in Bengaluru, Ramananda heads up all-India Operations with over 75 plants and their support personnel under his supervision, across the metropolis. Ramananda hails from Shivamogga, Karnataka and holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from JNNCE, Shivamogga and an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from KLE MSS CET, Belagavi. Prior to Ecotech, he worked as a PHE–Design Engineer at Ralys Consulting Engineers, Bengaluru.

In addition to his daily responsibilities at Ecotech, he led the "Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Training Program", a Skill India (NSDC) initiative led by Green Skills Academy supported by Ecotech and funded by the HCL Foundation to develop vocational skills in the workforce. So far Ramananda has successfully trained 160+ candidates through this program.

Outside of work, Ramananda enjoys photography, writing stories, screenplays, and storyboards for short movies. He also plays football and cricket.

DEVAIAH KM

Quality Assurance and Training Officer

At Ecotech, Devaiah has over 25 years of hands on experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants across a wide variety of industries—Brewery, Textile & Dyeing, Foods and Beverages, Electroplating, Dairy, Tobacco, Cassava starch, etc.  STPs are Kindergarten stuff says Devaiah, and you have to believe him. He is the go-to man for challenging trouble shooting jobs at site.  Quite naturally, our company’s training portfolio is handled by Devaiah.

MALLAIAH

Sr. Field and Recruitment Officer

Mallaiah with over 25 years in our company, has grown with Ecotech and has helped the company grow as well. He has the unenviable job of supervising and monitoring over 250 operator-level staff as well as filling vacancies as they arise when more plants come under our care. With his excellent interpersonal skills he is able to attract and recruit the right talent and also retain them over long period of time which forms the bedrock of our AMC services.

SUBBARAYAPPA BN

Administration and Compliance Officer

Subbu holds a diploma in Afforestation. He started off as supervisor at an ETP for United Breweries in Bangalore. Over 22 years, he has developed himself through dint of hard work and dedication to rise to the post of Admin and Compliance officer of Ecotech. Our Company attaches great importance to statutory compliance matters.

RANGANATHA ERANNA

Sr. Field Officer and Quality & Training Officer

Ecotech is also happy to announce elevation of  Sr. Field officer Mr. Ranganatha Eranna with additional charge as Quality and Training officer across the city of Bangalore and our branches in Pune and Chennai.


Ranganath holds a BA Degree from TVV College, Mudhugiri, Tumkur District, and joined Ecotech at a young age as an STP operator in September 2002. In the seventeen years since, he has developed skills in operation and maintenance of STPs, ETPs, WTPs, DM Plants, UF systems, RO systems, Biogas plants, and Swimming pools. In short he is an accomplished all rounder in the field of Wastewater Treatment systems, and now is one of the pillars Team Ecotech.


Even in his spare time, he is busy spending time, educating his children and imbibing in them the spirit of inquiry, and learning that never stops.  He is computer savvy as well and even  the little spare time he has, he spends reading books, expanding knowledge, and watches videos and movies for relaxation.
